Over 26 years ago Brett started as an apprentice technician with what was then Nashua and gradually worked his way up to service manager.
In 2001, after completing a Certificate IV in Networking/System Administration, Brett moved to the IT industry for 2 years and taught Certificate IV Networking at night at Launceston Tafe.
Midway through 2003 Brett returned to Ricoh Business Centre Launceston as a part owner. In 2010, Brett purchased the remaining share of Ricoh Business Launceston to become sole owner.
In recent years, Ricoh Business Centre Launceston has reinforced the “service comes first” approach and this is a large reason for the long term relationships held with many local businesses.
As business technology transforms, it is Brett's goal to ensure Ricoh Business Centre transforms with those changes to ensure customers are offered the best of what technology has to offer.
Matthew Atkins - Service Manager
Matthew began his working career with Ricoh (then Nashua) in 1997 as an apprentice technician.
Over the years Matthew has dealt with many changes in technology and has worked on most brands of copiers and office equipment. From high volume colour machines to the latest copier based software, Matthew is able to tackle it all. Matthew maintains the highest of standards when it comes to customer satisfaction and service backup.
Matthew enjoys the ongoing training and new technology that is constantly changing and progressing the industry.
Jo Medcraft - Office Manager
Jo came to Ricoh Business Centre Launceston with a wealth of experience, having owned her own small business for over 7 years. Previous to owning her business Jo worked with a large grocery chain and has a very good understanding of the logistics side of the business.
Jo maintains a positive attitude at all times and is more than willing to help any customer in need of assistance.
Jo is kept busy out of work by her two young daughters.
Susan Bennett - Accounts
Susan started contract work for Ricoh Business Centre Launceston in 2010 as part of her consultancy business, Sole Provider. Part of Susan's many tasks include book keeping, finance, human resources and assisting with strategic market planning. Any account issue big or small is never too much trouble and Susan will always offer any assistance she can.
Susan is a former finalist in the Young Telstra Business Woman of the year for 2007 and a Winner of 2011 Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
Heath Storey - Service Technician
Heath has been in the office equipment industry for over 6 years. Previous to this, he worked as a computer systems administrator.
Heath enjoys the variety of customers that he deals with on a day to day basis as well as meeting new customers. Heath prides himself on customer satisfaction, and believes his work isn't complete unless the customer is smiling.
In his spare time, Heath enjoys playing soccer and tinkering with electronics.
If you have a technical problem big or small, Heath is more than happy to solve it with a smile.
Clint Sheehan - Technology Solutions Consultant
Clint joined the Ricoh team in early 2018 in our sales area of the business.
With his 21 year career in sales, including 11 years being in the communication & technology industry, Clint prides himself on offering customer business solutions with astrong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
Clint enjoys the technology industry and being part of the Ricoh Launceston team will ensure that he continually develops his knowledge and experience in the industry.
In Clint's spare time you will find him either with family and friends, travelling or in the football season being a Match Day Coach for the AFL umpires at AFL level.
Paul Blundell - IT Consultant
Paul has worked in the IT industry for over 18 years. Starting out as an IT trainee with the education department in 2001, he then spent the next 16 years in various IT support rules in the public service.
Paul has a wide range of experience in all areas of IT support, troubleshooting, Windows server and workstation support, networking and a strong background in systems administration.
With a real passion for anything technical, Paul likes to think outside the box and thrives on a challenge.
In his spare time, you'll find him spending quality with his wife and 2 children or blogging about and enjoying his hobby of radio communications.
Lachlan Walker - Office Administration
After the historic Birchalls bookshop closed its doors after 173 years, Lachlan found himself, like many seeking new employment and a means to continue the Birchalls way of customer service.
Lachlan found solace in Ricoh Business Centre. From here Lachlan is building himself up with a variety of administration systems and methods to put towards his Certificate lll in Business. Lachlan always ensures that he is helpful, positive and willing to go that extra step for those that need it with a smile on his face.
Hosein Mohseni - Office Equipment Technician
Hosein worked as a bookkeeper for 3 years when living in Asia. He then moved to Australia in 2016.
Since then he has been learning our language and getting accustomed to the culture and lifestyle, which has been challenging & rewarding at the same time.
Hosein showed true dedication to immersing himself into the Australi culture by studying English at TASTAFE and Max solutions.
His first work placement in Australia was an admin assistant at Max Solutions which gave him confidence in joining the Australian workplace.
In 2018 Hosein started to build his career in electronics studying Cert II of Electrotechnology & in the same year joined Ricoh Business Centre Launceston. In his time with Ricoh Hosein has demonstrated his ability to continually learn & evolve in his role as a office equipment technician.
Pod Melia - M-Files & IT Support
After studying IT through 2015 & 2016 as a mature age student, whilst also juggling family life, Pod worked in the telecommunications industry for 2 years before joining the RBC IT Services team.
With a keen dedication to customer satisfaction and hard work, Pod continues to develop his skills in all areas of IT, to better support customers requirements & pro actively advise on office improvement solutions.
Family orientated & passionate about the community, Pod loves spending his time with family, managing a local book club or painting minatures.
Bailey Reid - IT Trainee
Bailey joined the RBCIT Services team in early 2019 as a Certificate IV trainee, after completing his Certificate II & III in IT at Launceston College. Previously, Bailey had worked in an IT sales assistant and junior technician position for 2 years.
Since he was young, Bailey has had a strong interest in computers, hardware & technology in general. Bailey is constantly expanding his knowledge throughout all aspects of IT.
Outside of work, Bailey enjoys creating graphite drawings, tinkering with computer hardware and keeping up to date with the latest mobile technologies.
Darcy Richmond - IT Trainee
Darcy started with RBCIT in 2018 on a school based traineeship whilst in year 10 at Queechy High School. During the course of 2018 due to his high level of commitment Darcy was able to obtain his Cert II in information technology & complete his year 10 studies.
For 2019 Darcy decide to continue with his education by enrolling in a cert III in information technology whilst combining his year 11 studies at Newstead College.
In his spare time Darcy his an avid musician & enjoys catching up with his friends.
Greg Young - Office Equipment Technician
Greg joined the Ricoh team in August 2018, bringing a wealth of experience to the company having spent 18 years in various technical & support orientated roles.
Greg took up electronics at an early age after developing a real passion for the field & studied Electrotechnology at Tafe. Whilst not currently studying Greg, is still very keen to stay abreast of the latest technologies & keeps up to date on the electronics industry.
Greg believes in friendly service with a smile & strives daily to achieve the best possible outcome for our customers. When not at work Greg enjoys photography,tinkering with discarded electronics ,music & spending quality time with his wife & 3 boys.
Bradley Bartels - Office Equipment Technician
Whilst at high school Bradley became interested in the way computers worked and what they could do. He would spend time with family and friends learning how to take apart computers and figure out which part served what purpose.
After high school, Bradley attended college and participated in a Cisco networking course followed by TasTAFE for his Cert III in Digital Media and Information Technology.
In Bradleys’ spare time he likes to hang out with his friends, play video games, binge watch television shows and ride motorbikes. Computers & mechanical equipment also receive a fair amount of his spare time.
